The mobile application for the Thomas Jefferson Foundation guides visitors as they explore the grounds of Monticello. The app depicts the stories of those who lived and worked on the plantation through in-depth videos, interviews, and artifacts. The mobile application is also iBeacon enabled which gives visitors a better context of the stories and artifacts being presented. The application also features annotated maps for easier way-finding and dynamic infographics for a deeper understanding. The mobile app is backed by a CMS controlled by the foundation, which allows the application to grow over time as new locations and stories are published.
