The National Air and Space Museum opened their new Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall with a large interactive wall. This installation allows guests to quickly become acquainted with the museum’s vast collection of space and flight artifacts. While exploring the featured objects guests can save curated tours and special artifacts directly to the accompanying mobile app for use as they travel the museum. Guests were also encouraged to share their own experiences on social platforms that would later be displayed on the wall.   

The 21 HD screens formed an 8K resolution touch display which was powered by our high-performance C++ application on custom build servers. The content was consumed from the Smithsonian’s massive database and fed into the system’s redundant servers to protect against any networking issues. A large portion of engineering this application was focused on providing a highly responsive application for several simultaneous users while presenting a well refined visual experience.
